Reading, Writing & Spelling: A Multisensory Approach

This introductory course presents an Orton-Gillingham-based approach to teaching reading, handwriting and spelling.  Participants will learn specific techniques for teaching sound-symbol relationships, syllable division and spelling rules.  Teachers, tutors and parents will find this course valuable.

The Writing Road to Reading: A Comprehensive Introduction

In this course participants will learn a multisensory, total language arts approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling, designed by Romalda Spalding.  For educators from elementary to adult level.  Orton-Gillingham-based.

Skills Development, Part II

 

Participants will plan and demonstrate appropriate sequential lessons for elementary grades, using an Orton-Gillingham-based approach.  Instruction will focus on the implementation of this program.  Enrollment is limited.

Prerequisite: Grade of B or better in the introductory-level course, Reading, Writing & Spelling: A Multisensory Approach.
